Growing up outside Atlanta, Ga., Dr. Phillips chose to attend Rollins College in Florida so he could continue his athletic passion as a competitive water skier. At Rollins, not only did he graduate with a bachelor’s degree in health communications, but he was twice elected captain of their nationally ranked water ski team and was recognized as student athlete of the year.Following Rollins, he entered the Dental College of Georgia where he obtained his Doctor of Dental Medicine and graduated as the Valedictorian of his class. Dr. Phillips continued his dental training by completing a General Practice Residency at the Salt Lake City Veterans Affairs Hospital in order to advance his knowledge of complex treatment plans, implants, and sedation dentistry. Prior to relocating to Boise, Dr. Phillips also worked for a year in California refining his experience in digital dentistry and full arch implant surgeries (All-on-4). Dr. Phillips is currently licensed in 4 states and often travels to California and Oregon to assist, perform and teach other dentists in these advanced procedures.Dr. Phillips is committed to providing the very best treatment to his patients. In that regard, he is involved in study clubs with other renowned implant dentists throughout the country and invests considerable time at continuing education courses in order to keep abreast in the latest advancements. Dr. Phillips grew up in a large medical family and learned firsthand the self-satisfaction of helping others by providing dental and medical services. You can say it runs in his family as his sister is a pediatric dentist in Boise and one of his younger brothers is a local fireman and paramedic. When not working, Dr. Phillips enjoys spending his free time skiing, hiking with his dog Bella, and mountain biking.
